Cancer Care West to hold course on life after cancer treatment

Cancer Care West is delighted to launch a new course, aimed at people who have finished their cancer treatment.

This has been identified as a difficult time for patients and families because even though the patient has been given the ‘all clear’, all the worries and anxieties can still remain.

These are some of the questions people frequently ask: ‘ Can the cancer come back? Even though I look OK, I still feel really tired – will people understand this? Will it be difficult going back to work – will my employer understand it’s going to take a while to get up to some speed? Will I get my energy back’?

This course is specifically designed to help you cope with these and many other questions in a calm and gentle learning environment.

It will also give people the opportunity to reflect on what having cancer can mean for them and how they can accommodate the changes it brings. As with all Cancer Care West services, it is free of charge and run by cancer support specialists. For more information call 091 540040.
