THE MUSIC of Beethoven, Brahms, and Haydn, will be heard in the Emily Anderson Concert Hall in NUI Galway's Aula Maxima when the Trio Dali and Nathan Braude play the next Music For Galway concert.
Britain's The Trio Dali - Jack Liebeck (violin ), Christian-Pierre La Marca (cello ), Amandine Savary (piano ) - along with Israeli-Belgian violaist Nathan Braude, play on Tuesday March 7 at 8pm.
The trio will perform Beethoven's early work, the Trio Op 1 No 1; Haydn's Trio in C, notable for its virtuosic piano lines and that Haydn dedicated it to pianist Therese Jansen; and be joined by Braude for Brahms' Quartet for Piano and Strings No 1 in Gm, a relatively early work which nonetheless shows "a breadth of vision and grandeur of style that heralds the mature work of the composer," according to classical music journalist Ian Fox.
Trio Dali was formed in 2006 and have won numerous major international competition prizes. Nathan Braude has performed in many of the world's most prestigious concert venues. He plays a viola by Pietro Giovanni Mantegazza (Milan, 1772 ).
