Workshop to explore the art of performance

Galway actor John Rogers to host a series of workshops in The Blue Teapot Theatre

GALWAY ACTOR and theatremaker John Rogers will host a series of workshops, in The Blue Teapot Theatre, Munster Avenue, exploring what it takes to be strong onstage in front of an audience.

Performance Onstage: An Introduction takes place on Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm from March 1 to April 5. The workshops are open to anyone, regardless of background or age. “There’s a reason a piece of theatre is called a play,” says John. “Exploring and learning how to perform onstage allows you to be creative and to express yourself in a innovative manner.”

John graduated from NUIG in 2010 with a MA in theatre and drama studies. He has worked with Moonfish, Sideshow, Theatrecorp, and Waterdonkey. His debut one-man-show Decision Problem [Good Time for Questions] and Artist Scientist Priest has been performed at festivals in Dublin and Galway.

Admission on the course is limited and early booking is advised. The course costs €120. For more information email [email protected] or see www.johnrogerstheatre.com
