TEDFEST, THE annual celebration of all things Father Ted, returns to Galway with a table quiz, the Toilet Duck Awards, and appearances by actors from the legendary sit com.
The fest opens with the Father Ted table quiz in Massimo today [Monday Febraury 20]. Hosted by Eoin McLove (Pat McDonnell ) and Fr Malachy, all questions will relate to the TV show. The first prize is a VIP day trip for four to Tedfest on Craggy Island (Inis Mór ), including return ferry and transfers. Registration is from 8pm, with the quiz starting at 9pm. A table of four people costs €40 in advance from www.roisindubh.net or on the night if not sold out.
The Tedfest Toilet Duck Awards with Joe Rooney (Fr Damo ) is on Tuesday 21 in the Róisín Dubh from 8.30pm. Comedians will be Emma Doran, Oisin Hanlon, Emann Idama, Dejan Djeric, Stephen Ryan, Lorcan McGrane, Stephanie Leonard, Roger O’Sullivan, Richard Zimmermann, Aidan Shields, Cornelius O'Sullivan, Cian McGarrigle, Stephen Bradley, Johnny Graham, Cillein Farrell, and Padraig Williams. Admission is €10/8 advance or €12.50 on the door. Those attending can stary free for the Silent Disco afterwards.
