HE MAY have been voted off Dancing With The Stars, but Des Bishop cannot be kept down, as he is currently busy touring his new show, One Day You’ll Understand, across Ireland.
Des has come to understand that when his mother used her favourite expression, “One day you will understand”, she was often correct. Sometimes though, she was just hiding from having to explain the complexities of life. The Irish-American comic also feels the phrase is a great metaphor for the confusing world we live in - from Trump to Isis, Facebook feeds to conspiracy theories, and the ever-confusing battle of the sexes. Hence in this show, Des attempts to make sense of contemporary life and the state of the globe.
Des Bishop's One Day You'll Understand comes to the Town Hall Theatre on Wednesday February 22 at 8pm. Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 or www.tht.ie
