MIRIAM DONOHUE, the Galway born, Dublin based, singer-songwriter will play a hometown gig in Galway this weekend, for the official launch of her critically acclaimed debut album, Paperscapes.
Paperscapes, produced by Gavin Glass, and featuring 10 compositions by Miriam, will be launched in Seven, Bridge Street, this Saturday at 9pm. The Last Mixed Tape Has Called the album, "a handcrafted, intimate beginning...that makes good use of the possibilities found within Donohue’s music...a solid debut"; while Hotpress described it as "like something unearthed from a time capsule buried in the early 60s by a still-green Bob Dylan...A capable writer, with a sublime delivery that will leave you speechless."
Miriam's music combines modern folk, pop, jazz, and indie. She has performed at Electric Picnic, Body and Soul Castlepolooza, and the Bloom Festival, and shared the stage with Martha Wainwright, Mark Geary, John Spillane, Jack L, and The 4ofUs.
