AUSTRALIAN COMIC Damo Clark headlines the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh this weekend, which will also be a fundraiser for the ongoing maintenance and running costs of the Jes Rowing Club.
The show is in the upstairs bar of the Róisín Dubh tomorrow night from 9pm. Damo's style is an enthusiastic and consistently energetic form of storytelling, including everyday observations, and he builds a great rapport with audiences. As Chortle.co.uk said: "There is barely a bad word to say about Clark: distinctive and possessing a comic talent beyond his year."
Damo has performed across Australia. Now based in Dublin, he regularly tours the British and European circuit. He first came to prominence with the RTÉ TV 2007 prank comedy show I Dare Ya!, with Andrew Stanley.
Support is from Trevor Browne (The Lads of Comedy ) called “one of the funniest comics I've ever seen" by Fringe Guru; Galway's Cormac McGuinness, and the MC will be Áine Gallagher.
Tickets are €8/€10 in advance from Róisín Dubh; OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street, www.roisindubh.net, and the Town Hall (091 - 569777, www.tht.ie ), or €12.50 on the door.
