If you are looking to get the most from your makeup and the best for your skin, then this Friday January 27, head to Headford CarePlus Pharmacy which will be hosting a free skincare event, Ready Steady GLOW! from 4pm to 8pm.
Experts will be on hand to give you advice on your daily skincare routines, analyse your skin type through skin mapping, answer questions and give master classes in skincare, tanning, and makeup, with six Glow zones on the night to visit. The event is free but places are limited so those wishing to attend should secure their place on the guest list – either through Headford Careplus’ Facebook page or by calling into the pharmacy. There will be 20 per cent off for guests on the night (offer excludes medications, prescriptions, vouchers, and baby food ).
Front of counter manager for Headford CarePlus Alison Cahill is really excited about the event; “We have had a couple of brilliant events already focusing on skin and make up, and have found there is a big demand from our customers to learn about skin care regimes, make up, and more. We love the face to face interaction with our customers, and so we thought, why not organise an event that really ticks all the boxes in relation to skincare with the help of some of the best skin care experts out there.”
Ready Steady GLOW! will also see the launch of Headford CarePlus’ new Derm Analyzer; one of the first in the country. The Derm Analyzer uses Aram Huvis software along with a high magnification lens, which analyses skin on a microscopic level.
Alison says; “Using the Derm Analyzer, we can examine your skin closely; looking at pores, sun damage, wrinkles, breakouts, and moisture levels in the skin. These diagnostics ensure that we can recommend the best products for your individual skin type or concerns, and we’re thrilled to have been chosen as one of the first in Ireland to have this technology.”
The event kicks off at 4pm in the pharmacy with Amela, Headford CarePlus’ tanning expert from Vita Liberata. Amela will demonstrate how to apply fake tan, without those marks and patches, and go through all the tips and tricks to ensure an even and glowing tan.
At 4.30pm Headford CarePlus’ in-house makeup artist, Orla Thornton, will hold a masterclass in eye make-up application as well as how to contour and highlight using the Highlighter Kit and Contour Palette from SoSu by Suzanne Jackson. Orla will also exhibit a tutorial on how to use make-up brushes properly using Real Techniques.
Theresa Rock will showcase her Glow zone at 5pm. Theresa is a facial acupuncturist as well as a beauty therapist who has worked in top spas and salons before becoming a trained and qualified acupuncturist. By combining her beauty and acupuncture skills, Theresa gives the skin what it needs to be at its best. Theresa will explain how facial acupuncture can soften lines and leave your skin glowing, and will provide a special offer for guests on the night.
Next up on the night at 5.30pm is Headford CarePlus’ in-house beauty therapist, Adele Hogan. Adele will demonstrate a MicroZone Dermalogica prescriptive facial for one lucky guest. Adele is an expert in skin health and certified Dermalogica therapist, and will be available to answer all your skincare questions. Adele says; “I believe our skin has a massive impact on how we feel on the inside and out. Good skin makes us feel confident and happy. I really looking forward to helping customers choose the correct product for their skin type so that their skin can really be at its best.”
Adele will also introduce Headford CarePlus’ beauty rooms, where she will launch the pharmacy’s range of MicroZone treatments; mini facials that target specific skin concerns such as breakouts, dehydration, ageing, blocked pores, etc. As part of the beauty room launch, Adele will offer guests a complimentary skin bar by appointment, where they can discuss their individual skin concerns one-to-one. Guests will also be able to try out the product themselves for their skin, and Adele will offer a complimentary face mapping service to discover your skin type.
6pm will see Michelle Ross, popular blogger from Needsnotwantsblog giving a make-up master class on the showcase zone. Michelle will demonstrate how to create flawless make-up using her favourite products. Michelle has thousands of followers across her social media platforms of Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. This Ready Steady GLOW! event allows guests an opportunity to meet her and learn all of Michelle’s makeup skills and techniques, so it is not to be missed.
Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with Headford CarePlus’ experts and ask questions while enjoying mocktails, cupcakes, macaroons, and other yummy treats from 7pm.
