Skoda has made major revisions to its best-selling model, the Octavia.
Available here shortly, the model features a newly designed front and rear section, state-of-the-art driver assistance systems, infotainment and connectivity, as well as additional new equipment which further enhance the Octavia's appeal. The compact model is available in hatch and estate form.
Skoda says it is expanding the equipment range of its bestseller for even greater comfort. It adds that the comprehensive upgrade brings new design elements and improved operating solutions to the interior. The infotainment systems, which come from a new generation of devices, have screen sizes of up to 9.2 inches.
Skoda says that the interior of the upgraded Octavia is characterized by an exceptionally generous amount of space and simple elegance. Its horizontally oriented design emphasizes the spaciousness of the width; the lines, surfaces and volumes are geometrically clear. On the dashboard, the round instruments are large and easy to read and their new graphics give them an even finer appearance
Newly updated Octavia vRS also on the way
The Skoda Octavia vRS gets a new front section, modified rear and sporty interior to highlight its dynamic character. The upgraded vRS is available as a hatchback and estate. Both body styles have two four-cylinder engines from which to choose. While the 2.0 TDI diesel engine has the same 135kW (184hp ) output as previously, the performance of the 2.0 TSI petrol engine has increased by 7kW (10hp ) to 169kW (230hp ), making it the most powerful and fastest series-production model in the history of the Octavia.
Skoda says new premium technologies supporting infotainment, connectivity and driver assistance systems emphasise the exceptional position of the compact sports car in its segment.
