CATHAL, THE nasty charachter from Fair City, the Carrigstown bad boy you love to hate - played by the brilliant comedian Eric Lalor - is coming to wreak havoc on the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh tomorrow night.
With a warm and energetic onstage presence, Eric is a regular at Electric Picnic and Kilkenny Cat Laughs, and hosted shows at this year's Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway, having first come to prominence on Des Bishop’s Joy In The Hood in 2006. Chortle.co.uk described him as "flawless...it’s like Rab C got Irish, got eloquent, but stayed scum”.
Also on the bill are Clubh regular Keith Fox, with his brand of observational and surrealist comedy, and Martin Angolo, who will unleash his trademark great one-liners. The MC will be the 'Queen of the offbeat', Aine Gallagher, filling in for Steve Bennett who is away on tour of Australia.
Doors are at 9pm. Admission €10/8 in advance from Róisín Dubh; OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street, and www.roisindubh.net; or €12.50 on door.
