Celtic fans in Galway have something to get excited about this week as some of the biggest names in the club’s history have been announced for the St Patrick’s Day squad coming to Terryland Park next month.
Celtic legends Chris Sutton, Alan Thompson, Darren Jackson, Joe Miller, Andy Walker, Alan Stubbs, Tommy Johnson, Johan Mjallby, Tom Boyd, Regi Blinker, and Frank McAvennie have confirmed they will be playing Galway XI at Terryland Park on St Patrick’s Day. With these stellar players confirmed, this is one game fans cannot afford to miss.
“It will be great to come to Ireland for St Patrick’s Day and to be part of the celebrations,” said Swedish midfielder Johan Mjallby, who is flying in from Stockholm especially for the game. “I look forward to a competitive game against Galway XI on what I hear is one of the best playing surfaces in Ireland.”
