The Frances Thornton Memorial Galway Bay Swim in aid of Cancer Care West takes place this Saturday August 9. Andrew Flanagan, Ronan Collins, Kevin Thornton, Michael Heffernan, Simon Flatley and Colin Duffy, seen here presenting the proceeds of last year’s swim to David O'Donnell from Cancer Care West, along with twelve others will set out from Augnish, Co Clare, at 11am.
They hope to come in at Palmers Rock, Salthill, between 1.30 and 2.30pm. The full line up for the 2008 swim includes Galway Bay FM DJ Donal Mahon, Kevin Thornton, Ronan Collins, Andrew Flangan, Barry O'Neill, Michael Heffernan, Daniel Clough, Simon Flatley, Colin Duffy, Philip Gilboy, Jim Colleran, Art Mac Manusa, Cathal Codyre, Shane O'Neill, Kate Varley, Kate Coyle, Martin Kenirons, and Patrick O'Brien.
