Citypoint deals see 10,500sq ft of office space taken up in Galway city

Cushman & Wakefield has recently concluded two important office deals in in the Citypoint building located on Prospect Hill. MathWorks and Ipswitch are two US based information technology companies which have taken up residence in the city for their European headquarters.

Both MathWorks and Ipswitch have completed a very high standard fit-out of their premises which is reflective and in keeping with Citypoint’s character.

Letting agent George Brady of Cushman & Wakefield, who handled the lettings, says: “These two deals are further evidence of the attractiveness of our city. While we are in competition with other cities such as Dublin, Cork, and Limerick we have so much to offer to foreign direct investment companies when they come to visit the west. We are very fortunate to have colleges such as NUIG, GMIT, and GTI right here in our city which provides highly educated graduates seeking immediate employment on an annual basis. Corporate companies considering Galway as a new home find this an excellent facility to have for seeking a skilled workforce.”

These two deals have now brought Citypoint’s office accommodation to a 100 per cent capacity, on foot of last year's letting of more than 11,500sq ft to Heat Software.
