THE FINAL Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh of 2016 takes place this week and will be headlined by a man Des Bishop calls "the king of underground comedy in Ireland" - Tommy Nicholson.
Tommy is probably Ireland’s favourite club comedian. Over many years, the Navan native has been a writer, performer, and stand-up who has appeared on 1990s Irish TV cult comedy show Don’t Feed The Gondolas, and more recently on The Savage Eye.
Also on the bill is Ger Staunton, who may be Ireland's driest, grumpiest, wit and who, according to The Examiner, knows how to write “incredibly funny” jokes. Support is from Bob Hennigan and the MC is Steve Bennett.
The Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh takes place tomorrow from 9pm. Tickets are €8 in advance from the Róisín Dubh; OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street, and roisindubh.net; or €10 on the door.
