THE POETS Matthew Caley, Helena Kane, and Mary Lee will read at the final Over The Edge: Open Reading of 2016, in the Galway City Library on Thursday December 15 at 6.30pm.
London based Matthew Caley is the author of the collections, Thirst (1999 ), The Scene of My Former Triumph (2005 ), Apparently (2010 ), Professor Glass (2011 ), and Rake (2016 ). He also co-edited Pop Fiction: The Song in Cinema with Stephen Lannin.
Mary Lee was born in Curramore, Headford. Her poems have appeared in Skylight 47, Crannóg, and The Galway Review, and broadcast of RTÉ Radio 1’s 'The Living Word'. Her poetry collection, Bloom, was published recently by Matthew James Publishing Ltd. Helena Kane grew up in east Galway and is working on a novel, entitled The Long, Long Road, about a young girl, Maire, who was in an industrial school from the age of seven.
There will be an open-mic after the featured readers. New readers are always welcome. The MC will be Susan Millar DuMars. The Over The Edge Christmas celebration takes place afterwards. All are welcome.
