MOODS, MEMORIES, and Mayo, a new exhibition of works by Paul Guilfoyle, features, despite its title, landscapes from Galway, Down, and Laois, as well as Mayo.
The show is taking place in The Kenny Gallery, Liosbán Retail Park, Tuam Road, and features depictions of hill walks, sunsets, calm waters, "billowing skies, distant light and flaring colours". It is Gulfoyle's first show there in six years, a period which he says has been marked by "experimenting on different styles, techniques of painting, always returning to the real roots of why I paint - the landscape itself".
The exhibition runs until December 22. Gallery opening times are Mondays to Saturdays, 9am to 5pm. Admission is free. All are welcome. See www.TheKennyGallery.ie
