CARAMEL, THE award winning Lebanese film will be screened in NUI, Galway’s O’Flaherty Theatre on Wednesday at 8pm to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Set in a Beirut beauty salon, Caramel connects the lives of six women as they face love and marriage, desire and duty, tradition and possibility. It is a film about strong women and directed by a talented new woman director, Nadine Labaki. All proceeds go towards Amnesty International.
The film is being screened by the Galway Film Society, Amnesty International, and NUIG’s FilmSoc. Tickets are €8/6 from Amnesty International, Middle Street (091 - 533637 ) or on the door.
