Former Connacht prop White joins Buccs coaching team

Former Connacht and Ireland prop Nathan White has joined Buccaneers coaching set-up.

White, whose rugby career recently ended through a concussion injury, has been added to the backroom team at Buccaneers by his former Connacht front row colleague Brett Wilkinson who took over Buccaneers two seasons ago.

White (35 ) played with Leinster before transferring to Connacht four seasons ago, winning his first nternational cap last year. He was capped 15 times for Ireland, including appearances in the Rugby World Cup finals.

Wilkinson, who was also forced to retire through injury, says White, will be in charge of breakdown and contact at Buccaneers which currently leads division 1B of Ulster Bank League.

“Nathan is a great addition to our coaching team,” says Wilkinson. "He was one of the players who drove the culture and standard at Connacht, and he will add a lot to the Buccaneers culture as we look to progress.

“He has tremendous knowledge of the game and is another valuable pair of eyes at training."
