TWO-WAY Split, the latest production from the Cathy Sharp Dance Ensemble, will be performed in the Town Hall Theatre on Wednesday at 8pm.
Two-Way Split features two very different choreographies: Double Je from Felix Dumeril, former artistic director of the Berne Ballet and ...like shattered glass by Cathy Sharp.
Double Je looks intricately and humorously at the interaction between individual people within their complex daily life processes. It is set to the music of Steve Reich, Arvo Pärt, and Michael Nyman
...like shattered glass is a thoughtful reflection on how in certain moments in life, mood changes can - like shattered glass - suddenly lead to a new awareness of reality. It will be performed to the music of Björk, Liz Phair, and Patti Smith.
The lighting is designed by Switzerland’s Michel Güntert. The costumes are by German designer Sabine Schnetz.
