As part of the continued growth and expansion of the Galway Races Summer Festival, Galway Racecourse has announced the appointment of Sinéad Cassidy to the newly created role of Sales and Marketing Manager.
Sinéad joins Galway Racecourse to take up the position of Sales and Marketing Manager having worked as Sales and PR Manager at the five star g Hotel and Spa for the past five years.
Prior to this, she held a number of high profile positions in including; Press Officer for the National Ploughing Championships, Marketing Manager for Supermacs, and Account Director with the Spirit Retail Marketing Group Dublin. Sinéad has also previous experience working within the horse racing industry, as the former Marketing Manager at both Punchestown Racecourse and Naas Races.
The Galway native qualified with a Bachelor of Business Studies Marketing Degree from GMIT. Following on from that, she qualified with a Post Graduate Higher Diploma in Marketing Practice from NUI Galway, and a Post Graduate Higher Diploma in Public Relations.

Sinéad Cassidy says she is very much looking forward to her new role and returning to the horse racing industry. “I’m really delighted to be joining the team at Galway Racecourse. I worked in the horse racing industry in Kildare when I left college and it’s always been an industry that I’m naturally drawn to and passionate about.
