Hardwicke Circus - power-packed r'n'b @ Róisín Dubh

HARDWICKE CIRCUS are a seven piece band, aged between 17 and 20, from Carlisle, in Cumbria, in the north of England, and despite their tender years, they have already played the Glastonbury, Leeds, and Reading festivals.

Ireland will now get a taste of what the band are about with dates this weekend in Dublin and Belfast (suporting Alabama 3 ) and a headlining gig of their own in the Róisín Dubh this Sunday at 8pm.

Fronted by Jonny Foster, the band have performed in pubs and clubs since they were school kids. They play original material, and their sound is a mix of power-packed r'n'b (including a brass section ), influenced by Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, and The Doors.

Hardwicke Circus have also been attracting much critical acclaim, with Trevor Eales of Virtual Festivals saying: "Armed with a set full of self-penned songs that do justice to their swaggering self-confident stage presence, they impress both musically and visually. Every so often a band comes along that has something special. This is a young band with talent to burn and huge potential."

Admission is €5. See www.roisindubh.net
