New head chef at the g Hotel

The luxury five star g Hotel & Spa, together with its award winning AA rosette Restaurant gigi’s, has announced the appointment of Jason O’Neill to the role of head chef. O’Neill makes a welcome return to the g having previously worked in the hotel as sous chef for a number of years. He rejoins the g to take up this new role after gaining valuable experience as head chef of a well-known seafood restaurant in Barna, Galway, where his food and menus were a huge success. O’Neill brings more than 12 years' experience to his role and holds a passion for simple, deliciously flavoured food, second to none.

Originally from Monaghan, Jason O’Neill trained in Killybegs, County Donegal, and then went on to travel and work in Australia for a number of years in various culinary positions gaining vast experience. In his role as head chef at the g, he will oversee all culinary aspects of the hotel's menus including Restaurant gigi’s, the Signature Lounges, weddings, and all conference business. He launched his delicious new Signature Lounge menu last month.
