Blood Thread - metal band to make Galway debut

Support from acclaimed Irish metal act Words That Burn

BLOOD THREAD will bring their bone crushing, modern, death metal to Galway next week for what will be the Scottish band's first appearance in this city, accompanied by Words That Burn, who are also making their Galway debut.

Blood Thread's upcoming Galway, Dublin, Belfast, and Limerick shows will be their first in Ireland, meaning this will be a long-overdue treat for local metal fans given the Scot's reputation as a formidable live act, gained through their own solo shows and tours, and through support slots with Vital Remains, Cattle Decapitation Kylesa, P.A.I.N., and Insision.

Also on the bill are Dundalk alt-metal band Words That Burn, who were recently signed to Warner Chappell Music. Their album Regret Is For The Dead, impressed critics and went straight to No1 in the official iTunes mainstream charts surpassing the like of Beyoncé and the Now! That's What I Call Music collections. This show will also mark their Galway debut.

The Galway show takes place in The Cellar Bar, Eglinton Street, on Friday October 28 at 8pm. Support is from Dublin metal band Alpheidae. Admission is €5. The concert is presented by The Cranium Titanium metal show on FlirtFM 101.3.
