ATLANTIC, A documentary by Richie O’ Donnell on what is happening to fishing communities on both sides of the Atlantic, will be screened this evening (Thursday ) by Cllub Scannán Sailearna, Indreabhán.
This award winning documentary, narrated by Brendan Gleeson, looks at the impact of super trawlers, sucking enormous quantities of fish from the ocean, on long established fishing communities. It also looks at the effects of overfishing and the oil industry on a fragile marine environment. Screening starts at 8.15pm and the director will be in attendance.
