GALWAY FOLK-singer songwriter Don Stiff has released a new single, 'You'll Always Be My Mother', exploring his experiences of adoption.
The song hears Don explaining to his adopted mother that she will always be his mother, even after his birth mother is found. Don has begun a search for his birth mother, the search being handled by one of the State adoption bodies. The Bohermore man is hoping the song will encourage more people to talk more openly about adoption in Ireland.
For 'You'll Always Be My Mother', Don is accompanied by Pat Coyne (guitar ), Tony Maher (piano ), David Doocey (fiddle ), and We Banjo 3's Fergal Scahill (viola ). See www.donstiffe.com
