Tristan und Isolde opens new Met Opera season @ The Eye

WAGNER'S TRISTAN und Isolde in a new production by Mariusz Trelinski, with Sir Simon Rattle conducting, opens the new season of operas broadcast live via satellite from New York's Metropolitan Opera to The Eye Cinema.

Tristan und Isolde will be screened this Saturday at 5pm. Audiences can also expect to see ‘behind the scenes’ footage during intervals and scene changes, and live interviews with cast, crew, and production teams. The Met’s 2016/2017 season will feature Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Idomeneo, Saarihao’s L’Amour de Loin, Verdi’s Nabucco, Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, Dvorak’s Rusalka, Verdi’s La Traviata, Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, and Strauss’s Rosenkavalier.
