AFTER THREE weeks of the Irish Comedian of the Year competition, it is time to get back to regular comedy nights at the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh, and getting the ball rolling is Donal Vaughan.
The Dublin comedian boasts dry wit and great timing. He headlines nights all over Ireland and in August he performed his debut solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe, to great acclaim. In Britain, he won the Laughing Horse New Comedian Of The Year 2015 and was a finalist in the Leicester Square Comedian of the Year Award. In 2014 he won the Tedfest Toilet Duck Award and was runner up in Show me the Funny.
Support is from Nigerian-Irish comedian Emman Idama, who has been seen on RTÉ's Republic Of Telly and The Year Thats In It, and on YouTube channel, Facts. He has performed at Kilkenny Cats Laughs, Longitude, and Electric Picnic festivals.
The show takes place tomorrow in the Róisín Dubh's upstairs bar at 9pm. The MC is Steve Bennett. Admission is €8 from roisindubh.net or OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street, and €10 at the door.
