See new Irish film VIVA @ Town Hall

VIVA, A Spanish-language, Irish made, film, set in Cuba, directed by Paddy Breathnach and written by Mark O'Halloran, is this weekend's screening from the Galway Film Society.

Struggling hairdresser Jesús (Héctor Medina ) finds a way to earn some extra money by performing as a drag artist, but his abusive and estranged father has no intention of letting this happen. A bittersweet story of pain, regret, and reconciliation, the film won Best Irish Film at the Audi Dublin International Film Festival 2016.
