Declan O'Rourke and orchestra to play Salthill

Singer-songwriter to release new album in October

DECLAN O'ROUKE will re-imagine and re-interpret many of his finest songs on his forthcoming album In Full Colour, and perform those re-imaginings in concert in Salthill in November.

In Full Colour will be released on Friday October 28 and will see the Dublin singer-songwriter - who has strong south Galway connections - accompanied by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. The album will also feature a number of new songs, including the acclaimed ‘Children Of 16’ - written about the 40 children who lost their lives during the 1916 Rising, and who were buried in an unmarked grave at Glasnevin cemetery. The song is also a meditation on the Rising and its legacy.

Declan's Galway concert takes place on Saturday November 12, where he will be accompanied by a 50 piece orchestra.

This is a 'Róisín Dubh presents...' event. Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
