Manual handling and people handling and moving courses

Most people have a minor back problem at one time or another. Symptoms develop from everyday wear and tear, overuse, or injury. Back problems and injuries often occur during sports or recreational activities, work-related tasks, or home projects.

Injuries frequently occur when you use your back muscles in activities that you do not do very often, such as lifting a heavy object or during a care related task such as moving a person.

Western Management Centre offers manual handling and people handling and moving courses which aim to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and techniques to carry out manual handling related tasks in a safe manner, so as to help avoid injury to both themselves and other people.

The courses are run at various times in the morning, evening, or even on Saturdays, so there are lots of options to attend. Other health and safety courses on offer include Safe Pass, occupational first aid, care of the older person, and safety and health at work. You can contact Western Management Centre for full details on all courses at 091 528777 or email [email protected]. The website is www.wmcgalway.com
