New homes on the way for Galway

O’Malley Construction has just announced that a phase of new homes is now under construction at its Reilean development in Roscam, on the east side of Galway city.

O’Malley’s has been busy completing a number of schemes at Leargan and Boireann Bheag over recent years and recently re-commenced construction at Reilean. The company has been in business for 45 years and is renowned for delivering high quality homes and neighbourhoods

This phase consists of a range of homes to include terraced, end-of-terrace, semidetached, and detached houses. Sizes will vary from 1,200sq ft up to almost 1,800sq ft and include both three and four bedroom layouts. All houses are a two storey design, providing a much larger footprint which is particularly noticeable on the ground floor in terms of living areas. The houses are also being constructed to modern standards, providing high levels of heat conservation, sound proofing, efficient heating systems, and energy cost reductions. The four bedroom houses will achieve a BER rating of A3 and the elevations of all houses will include a combination of brickwork, natural stone and other design features. Prices will start from €275,000. O’Malley’s expect the first houses to be ready for occupancy in spring 2017, and each house will be finished to the individual purchaser’s requirements.

O’Malley’s has delivered a large number of high quality, well finished, and highly sought after developments throughout the city and the company is also currently completing a scheme of 74 high end houses and apartments at Clonskeagh in South Dublin. While the large houses in Dublin attracted prices in excess of €1 million, the company will commence construction of apartments within the coming months at this exclusive location.

O’Malley’s developments around the city of Galway are particularly sought after in the second hand homes market. Local selling agents often refer to homes as being “O’Malley built”, a testament to the attention to detail, quality construction and customer service. A spokesperson for O’Malley’s noted: “Most potential purchasers today are very knowledgeable and familiar with the product. They are very interested in the building specification and energy systems being used to reduce heat loss and energy costs.”

Since 2001 O’Malley’s has built a number of developments in the Roscam area including Caiseal Cam, Ros Caoin, Duirling, and most recently Boireann Bheag. The company has also recently received approval for a new development, adjacent to Reilean, consisting of a further 62 units with access from the Oranmore Coast Road, to be released early next year.

O’Malley Construction is renowned for the high quality of landscaping, stonework, paving, and other features that make its estates sought after neighbourhoods in which to live. Reilean, located by the sea and the woodlands in Roscam and Merlin Park, has a lot to offer. Oranmore town is a short drive along the coast and regular bus services to Eyre Square ensure a speedy transit time to the city. Proximity to the motorway network will prove attractive to many people also.
