Galway Clinic needs more nurses for expansion plans

Specialist and new graduate nurses are being sought by the Galway Clinic as part of major expansion plans for the Doughiska based private hospital in the near future.

The new staff will join the existing team as the service needs of the facility continue to grow.

A spokesperson for the hospital says it is keen to attract the "best nurses" as well as new graduates. "It is vitally important that nurses, who are on the frontline in providing person centred care are well rewarded with the best pay and working conditions alongside professional development and a pleasant working environment.

“Galway Clinic promises a nurturing, supportive environment for staff and encourage the development and advancement of further education and new skills."

The facility is one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in Ireland whose team includes top medical professionals from around the world.

The hospital is stepping up efforts to attract qualified applicants to the hospital on the outskirts of the city with a nursing open evening on Wednesday September 7 from 3pm to 7pm. Its previous open day in December was a huge success with a number of specialised nurses joining the team at the clinic as a direct result.
