Building on the success of last year's fundraiser Sparkle at the g fashion show, the hotel will be hosting another fashion event on Friday September 23 in aid of Tomorrow for Tomás.
Tomás McLoughlin is a six-year-old boy who has spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Born at 26 weeks he and his twin arrived unexpectedly into the world. Sadly his brother Seán passed away after 30 days. Tomás is a bright, chatty, boy but has no independent movement. As Tomás will require life-long supports and very costly equipment, his parents Ann-Marie and Shane began a fundraising group called Tomorrow for Tomás. Thanks to the generosity and support received last year the funds raised are being put towards the purchase of a powered wheelchair, costing in excess of €20,000. This year Tomorrow for Tomás aims to raise funds so that the family home can be adapted for Tomás’ living and care needs, as well as ensuring safe and easy access about the house and garden on his new wheels.
Sparkle at the g is set to be a fun and fabulous event starting with a prosecco reception, sponsored by Colm Quinn BMW at 7pm in the marvellous company of the Guinness Jazz Band, followed later in the evening by the beautiful singing of Bel Canto. At 8pm sharp, the Catwalk Model Agency will deliver an exciting night of fashion and style showcasing designs from award winning milliner Suzie Mahony, stunning fashion-forward creations by designer Colin Burke, and an array of exquisite style and fashion from local boutiques. The event will have every fashionista set for autumn/winter 2016.
This year's main sponsors are Ronan Daly Jermyn Solicitors, and Specsavers Galway, and each guest on the night will receive a goodie bag sponsored by Duggan's Pharmacy.
