St Mary's GAA Club is hosting the annual Sean McGovern School of Hurling on August 27, September 3, and September 10 from 10am-12pm at its club grounds in Carnaun.
This is the 10th year of the Sean McGovern School of Hurling which caters for boys from six to 16 years of age living in the parish of Athenry.
This annual event honours the late Sean McGovern, who dedicated two decades of his life to coaching underage teams in Athenry. As a testament to his influence, many of the oaches involved in this hurling event began their careers under his gentle guidance.
The event is sponsored by Pat Joyce, Joyce's Supermarkets, a continued supporter of Athenry Juvenile Hurling.
Registration is on the first morning in Carnaun at 10am (Saturday August 27 )
