A lifestyle event for the west's senior population will be held in Galway next month.
The 50 Plus Expo, which is specifically aimed at people who are retired, or are planning to retire, takes place at The Radisson Blu Hotel on Saturday and Sunday September 3 and 4.
Organisers describe the expo as "the ultimate lifestyle event for seniors" , which is "entertaining, informative and educational".
It will boast more than 70 diverse exhibitors, such as Bon Secours, Galway, Specsavers,Revive, The Ombudsman, Western Union, and Arigna Mining.
Free presentations
Running alongside the show will be presentations covering health, hobbies and pastimes, and security.
Among the speakers are Dr Yvonne Smyth on reducing the risk of heart disease, John McCabe on keeping the spine healthy, consumer and personal fnance expert Sinead Ryan known to many from RTE’s My Money and Me, and gardening expert Peter Dowdall who regularly appears on The Afternoon Show.
Other features include free coin, stamp and note valuations, a talk on internet fraud and how to be secure on line, statutory rights and entitlements, and home and abroad holidays.
