The race for the Frank Fox Cup and the right to be considered the top football club in Galway recommences this weekend with two preliminary quarter-finals down for decision, and three round three games.
First up on Saturday in Pearse Stadium (5.45pm ) in a preliminary quarter-final is Carraroe and Corofin.
On Sunday there are three county senior championship games to be decided. Salthill/Knocknacarra, with a few county minor players likely to see action, will take on Caltra at 5pm in Tuam stadium, followed by Cortoon Shamrocks and St Michaels at 6.45pm.
Also on Sunday Maigh Cuilinn will take on Caherlistrane (5pm ) in Pearse Stadium in a preliminary quarter-final, and that game is followed by Killanin and Milltown at 6.45pm in a round three game.
