One traditional music act taking part in TradFest West will walk away with a prize package worth €15,000 comprising a 12-month contract to play at Skeff Late Bar, a professional video and photo shoot and a media package.
The Skeff Late Bar hosts the TradFest West music competition ahead of the launch Skeff Seisiun next month - the all new Trad Thursdays at The Skeff.
TradFest West is a traditional Irish music festival taking place at The Skeff Late Bar from 22-28 August with one act winning a year-long contract at Galway’s premier entertainment venue.
General Manager of The Skeff Late Bar Brian O’Toole says, “Galway is home to Ireland’s best Irish music talent and we want to celebrate our cultural prowess by not just showcasing that talent over the period of a week, but also giving one act the Skeff Live stage for one year. So I am inviting all Irish music artists to apply now.”
What is TradFest West?
TradFest West is a dedicated Irish music festival in Galway hosted in The Skeff Late Bar on Eyre Square. From 22-28 August The Skeff will showcase the best in traditional music talent in the West of Ireland. We will host two TradFest performances daily (at 3pm and 9pm ), which will be extensively pre-promoted.
One act will win a year-long contract with The Skeff Late Bar, a professional photo shoot, a designed media pack and a 2-minute promo video. They will also benefit from extensive PR and media activity.
