IF YOU missed the Roses at Marlay Park, you can see the next best thing, in Galway, in the form of the tribute band approved by various Roses members themselves.
The Complete Stone Roses play the Róisín Dubh on Friday August 12 at 8pm, where they will perform classics from the Manchester band such as 'I Wanna Be Adored', 'Fools Gold', 'Waterfall', 'She Bangs The Drums', and 'I Am The Resurrection', and some Ian Brown numbers.
Formed in 1998, The Completes are highly regarded as one of the best tribute bands in business, and have earned the seal of approval from Roses' bassist Mani, who has performed as warm-up DJ for the band and joined them on-stage for performances on a few occasions. They have also performed alongside other Madchester legends, Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets ) and Bez (Happy Mondays ).
Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
