Kilrickle National School, near Loughrea, has been approved by the Department of Education for funding as part of the Additional Accommodation and Emergency Works scheme.
The Department’s School Building Unit will now issue detailed letters on the project directly to the school letting it know the amount that has been sanctioned.
The news has been welcomed by the Minister of State for State at the OPW and Galway East Independent Alliance TD, Seán Canney. “I trust the funding announced this week,” he said, “will assist the school in addressing fully the external environmental works that need to be carried out.”
