The Dustbowl Revival - all of American music is here

Band to play Monroe's Live in August

THE DUSTBOWL Revival could be called an American roots orchestra, fusing the sounds of bluegrass, swing, hot jazz, pre-war blues, southern soul, and New Orleans funk.

The band - who play Monroe’s Live on Thursday August 18 at 9pm - formed in LA’s bohemian enclave of Venice Beach in 2007, the result of a hopeful Craigslist ad posted by bandleader Zach Lupetin. Featuring two lead vocalists, horns, fiddle, and mandolin, the band have won acclaim as a first rate live act.

Since their formation, they have played festivals and venues across America and Europe. Among their fans is legendary American actor Dick Van Dyke, who appeared in the video for their song, 'Never Had To Go'. Their most recent album, With A Lampshade On, has a more funky, soulful, feel than previous releases.

Tickets are €12/10. See www.monroes.ie
