Cry Before Dawn @ Monroe’s Live

IN THE late 1980s, Cry Before Dawn enjoyed a status as one of Ireland's most critically and commercially successful bands, and their return to live duties in recent years has been welcomed.

Formed in 1982, the Wexford band won IRMA awards for Best Newcomer in 1987, and Best Irish Group in 1989. Their albums, Crimes Of Conscience, and Witness For The World, went double platinum. In 2011 the band re-formed and enjoyed a successful Irish and British tour, while the Best of Cry Before Dawn reached No 12 in the Irish album charts. They have since played Vicar Street, Wexford Opera House, the London Feis, and Electric Picnic.

Cry Before Dawn play on Friday August 19 at 9pm. Tickets are €12/€10 via www.monroes.ie
