Toploader to play Monroe's Live

"DANCING IN the moonlight, everybody's feeling warm and bright, it's such a fine and natural sight..." Back in 1999 there was no getting away from Toploader's cover of the King Harvest song, which went on to eclipse the original.

The band - Joseph Washbourn (singer ), Dan Hipgrave (guitar ), Matt Knight (bass ) and Rob Green (drums ) - will play that and many other songs when they perform at Monroe’s Live on Wednesday September 14.

Toploader's debut album Onka's Big Moka, sold more than one million copies, remained in the Top 5 of the UK album chart for six months, and earned four Brit Award nominations. Their second album, Magic Hotel, reached No 3 in the UK Albums Chart. In 2013, 'Dancing In The Moonlight', re-entered the Top 40 for three weeks. Two new singles 'Turn It Around,' and ‘This Is The Night,' enjoyed airplay on BBC Radio 2, with the latter reaching No 1 in the Radio 2 Airplay Charts.

Toploader have supported Paul Weller, Robbie Williams, Noel Gallagher, Tom Jones, Simple Minds, and Bon Jovi, and played Glastonbury, V-Festival, T In The Park, and Chris Evans’s CarFest.
