RARELY SEEN Above Ground is quite unusual because he takes the entire notion of ‘the one man band’ into extreme and unusual places.
RSAG (aka Kilkenny’s Jeremy Hickey ) plays the drums and sings. To accompany and back him, the rest of the music he has recorded separately and plays back on tapes. Behind him is a screen featuring videos of him playing all the other instruments that are being played on the tapes.
So he’s there as one man and as a real and virtual band! See him when he plays the Róisín Dubh on Friday February 27 at 9pm. Admission is free.
