Bike thieves strike again in city

Galway Gardai are investigating a series of bike thefts in the city in the last week

At approx 3pm on Wednesday June 8 an unsecured bicycle was taken outside the Galway Shopping Centre on the Headford Road. The bicycle is a Cara tdf yellow and black racer. Any information please to Galway Gardai

On Saturday evening June 12, a black Carrera bicycle was taken from a bike stand near the House Hotel on Merchants Road in the City. This was a black bike with Carrera written in grey and green florescent fleck on the Bike. Any information please to Garda Nollaig McAndrew of Galway Garda Station.

Overnight on Saturday night June 11, a black Scott Bicycle was taken from The Green estate on College Road in the City. Any information please to Galway Gardai where Garda Pauric Moran is investigating.

Galway Gardai, in collaboration with Galway City Council are launching an initiative to combat bicycle theft in the City. This is running in conjunction with bike week which taking place in the City at the moment until the 19th of June. The initiative is aimed at raising awareness for cyclists to safeguard their bicycles.
