KEYWEST, ONE of Ireland's most popular rock bands, come to Galway to play McGettigan’s, Prospect Hill, on Saturday June 18, from 10pm, to celebrate the venue's first birthday.
The group - Andy Kavanagh, Andrew Glover, Jimi Lock, Harry Sullivan, and Fionn Lynch - have been making waves at home and abroad, having played the UK, USA, and the United Arab Emirates. They began by busking on Grafton Street, Dublin, and Shop Street in Galway. In 2012, they released their debut album, The Message, which has since gone triple Platinum; while the 2015 follow-up, Joyland, reached No 1.
The band will play an acoustic-driven set in McGettigan’s adn are likely to be busking in the city earlier on the day. Admission to the gig is free. More about the venue's birthday celebrations is on www.mcgettigans.com/galway
