GENBAND to open pop-up shop for one day tomorrow to help Jigsaw Galway

The shop, which will be located downstairs in Corbett Court Shopping Centre on Eyre Square.

A fundraising pop-up shop selling new clothes, electrical goods, gift ideas and toys, is opening to the public in Galway for one day tomorrow Friday May 27.

The shop, which will be located downstairs in Corbett Court Shopping Centre on Eyre Square, is being set up by the Galway office of leading provider of real-time communications GENBAND, to raise funds for local youth mental health support charity Jigsaw Galway.

This one-day retail fundraiser is being organised as part of GENBAND’s Global Day of Service during which employees from around the world participate in volunteer activities to benefit non-profit agencies and organizations in their local communities.

“If you love a sale, this is going to be a fantastic opportunity for you to pop in, grab a bargain, get a cup of tea or coffee and support young people’s mental health here in Galway,” said Justin McDermott of Jigsaw Galway. “Both Jigsaw Galway and the GENBAND team have been gathering donations of new clothes, electrical goods, gift items and toys from both the public and from retailers.

The generosity shown to us has been amazing, but most staggering has been the quality of items that have been donated. There will be bargains galore.” The pop up shop will be open on Friday, 27th May from 9am -6pm. Tea, coffee and treats will be served to anyone who pops in.

If you have any new unworn clothes with original tags, or electrical items, gifts or toys in their original packaging, which you would like to donate, then you can drop them off at Jigsaw Galway, which is located on Fairgreen Road in Galway City.
