Galway’s non-profit organisations will meet for the third Community Excellence Gathering, co-ordinated by Volunteer Galway, in CROI House, Newcastle on Thursday June 2 at 7pm.
Representatives from CROI na Gaillimhe Resource Centre and An Mheitheal Rothar will be talking about the work their organisations do, and further information will be provided on a series of forthcoming, once-off, training sessions on managing change, fundraising, and mindful community leadership. There will also be a special presentations on how non-profits can work with local media.
“We want to use this space to encourage greater opportunities for working together and we also have short-term funding that enables us to provide free training to people leading and managing non-profits,” said Donncha Foley, development manager with Volunteer Galway.
All non-profits are invited to attend to share ideas, and learn about new supports that are being developed to support the community, arts, sports and other sectors.
