My Fellow Sponges - new song and Róisín Dubh gig

Watch new video for 'Cold Hand'

FOLLOWING THE releasing their new video 'Cold Hand', My Fellow Sponges are promising "a midsummer stew for every shade of being and most genres under the sun" at their next concert.

The Galway indie/prog-folk band play Strange Brew at the Róisín Dubh on Thursday June 2 at 8.30pm. Among the songs they will play will be the aforementioned 'Cold Hand', which sees MFS exploring a new electro-acoustic sound, with a jazzy, contemporary, feel.

The song was written by Anna Mullarkey. Its accompanying video was scripted and directed by her sister, Mia, of Ishka Films. It stars The Lipsinkers’ James Riordan, and features a man on-stage, pouring his heart out on to a drunken audience of misfits. There are touches of David Lynch throughout.

Admission is €7. See also www.myfellowsponges.com
