ABOVE THE Fold, a pilot project conference on creativity and the arts in Galway, takes place this Saturday in The Mick Lally Theatre, Druid Lane, from 11am to 6pm, featuring speakers from art and design backgrounds.
The confirmed speakers are Brian Kenny (Lightscape ), a video artist and projection mapping specialist, who has worked with Franz Ferdinand and Primal Scream; Aoibheann McNamara of the Ard Bia restaurant and The Tweed Project; Daniel Ulrichs of Coffeewerk; visual and street artist Finbar McHugh (aka Finbar247 ); Dani Gill, director of the Cúirt International Literature Festival; Matthew Thompson, photographer; Joe Caslin, an illustrator, street artist, and teacher; and Melanie Lynch, creative director behind HerStory, which highlights the accomplishments of forgotten women.
