Camp it up - Al Porter to play Róisín Dubh

Comedian to perform all new material at upcoming July show

THE GREAT Al Porter, one of the most exciting and inspired Irish comedians to emerge in recent years, will make a welcome return to the Róísín Dubh, to perform his new show on Friday July 1.

Ahead of his biggest tour yet Al - the Vicar Street, Cork Opera House, and Vodafone Comedy Carnival sell out star - returns to the Dominick Street venue with Al Porter: Work in Progress, where he will preview his newest, hilarious, stories.

This is a chance for Galwegians to be among the very first to hear Al's new material in an intimate setting. It will see the Dublin comic stripped back (not bare ) and at his most naturally funny. There will be no band or fancy curtain, just one man, seated on a stool, some notes, and a lot of laughs - a glimpse behind the scenes of a show coming together with one of Ireland’s favourite entertainers.

Doors are at 8.30pm. Tickets are €15 from the Róisín Dubh, OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; and www.roisindubh.net
